Roseanne & Emmet, Mount Druid

Roseanne and Emmet's wedding at Mount Druid was a joy to photograph last July. When I first met them they were very relaxed and they were telling all about what they were planning for the day, all the things they were hoping would reflect who they are as people and as a couple. Months later, as I was photographing the wedding, I discovered, along with their guests, the true extent of what they had been planning and I was very impressed by all the little details and the thought they put into it. I also loved the flowers by the very talented Niamh. They chose Mount Druid as it is an alernative wedding venue, there is a tin chapel, a boathouse and a barn, as well as accomodation (yurts and caravans) all set on extensive parkland. It truly is an enchanting setting with a rustic flavour. The meal was cooked with the produce grown on the farm. Weather-wise, it started as a lovely summer's day but by 4pm it started to rain, a little at first then quite heavily and for that reason we had to take some of the group and family photos indoors. I am very glad that I managed to take lots of shots of Roseanne and Emmet in various parts of the grounds, including by the brightly coloured caravans. I also enjoyed working with videographer Alan. I'm very grateful Roseanne and Emmet chose me to photograph their big day, and I cannot wait to be back at Mount Druid!
