Rachael & Robert, Ballymagarvey Village

Rachael and Robert's wedding at Ballymagarvey Village last July was magic. We only met 3 days before the wedding as they were living in Australia when they initially booked me. Within minutes of meeting Rachael and Robert I knew their wedding would be fun to photograph as they were such a lovely couple and as we were on the same wavelength. The morning preparations were a delight to photograph as all the girls were getting excited and they all looked just stunning in their dresses. The makeup was by Alyson and the hair styling by Sian. After the ceremony in Rathfeigh church which had the couple and the guests in fits of laughter at various timesthanks to a very kind and very funny priest, we arrived at Ballymagarvey Village for the reception. I let Rachael and Robert mingle for a while, taking photos of the guests and some detail shots. The weather was unsettled so as soon as I saw a ray of sunshine, I took the couple around the beautiful grounds for the couple shots.

As we were nearly finished, it started to pour, a very heavy shower! Myself and the Emma the videographer stood in the rain so get footage of Rachael and Robert running towards the door - and it was well worth it! The speeches was emotional, there was much laughter and a few tears. Later, when the band (Dolorean 80's band) started to play, the energy was incredible and the dance floor was flooded!

I have to say that being a part of their day as their wedding photographer was definitely a big treat!
